CHINA CRYSTAL CHRONICLES 2009 - Part 1: The Sacred Seven
It is a real challenge for me to write this story, primarily because it’s meant to be a real-life story, but one that hasn’t quite happened yet.
As I write this, the date today is 15 August 2009, and the time is, hmmm … 11:11 am. In less than 72 hours, I will be on board a plane destined for Sichuan, China.
Some of you might be familiar with the astonishing events that unfolded in my journey to Guilin, China in 2008 last year (please click here to read this). Right after I had returned from China and with my excitement still at a high, I started investigating places to visit in Sichuan.
Why Sichuan?
Well, not only because it was where Tristan’s crystal had been found (according to the owner of the Guilin crystal shop), I was somehow very drawn to Sichuan: it just felt like the right place to go.
For those of you who are geographically challenged, Sichuan is the province lying immediately east of Tibet, and is the site of a great earthquake in 2008 that claimed the lives of thousands.
This is my ‘take’ on the Sichuan earthquake: I believe earthquakes occur in certain areas which can ‘give in’ to stress, and it is almost as if Sichuan, which is nestled right in between Tibet and the rest of China, was the chosen spot that could ‘give in’ in a clash of very spiritual energies coming from Tibet in the west, and the not-so-spiritual energy of the Chinese Communist regime in the east. To me the earthquake was Mother Earth’s way of releasing negativity created from this conflict.
From my forays into the world wide web, I’ve also discovered that Sichuan is home to a lot of Tibetan minorities, and also to Mt Emei, or Emei Shan, the tallest of the four known Sacred Mountains of China. Strangely, I struck up an instant fascination with Emei, and some Googling yielded the following article on Mt Emei:
“Emei Mountain is one of most majestic and spectacular holy mountains in the world. It is one of the four major Buddhist holy mountains and is the sacred abode of the Maha Bodhisattva Samantabhadra and the Avatamsaka Sutra. Samantabhadra is the primordial Buddha who manifests as a Bodhisattva to bring the teachings of Vajrayana Buddhism to this world system. Full of mountain spirits Emei Mountain was originally inhabited by shamans and Daoist …
Many healing miracles, wisdom miracles and miracle signs have manifested on Emei Mountain since ancient times and even our students over the past two decades have witnessed quite a few. Some of these miracles include the Buddhist halo, multiplying lanterns, sky signs, unusual rainbows, dreams and visions, and maybe even a visit by the golden monkey. The Maha Bodhisattva Samantabhadra has been know to manifest bestowing blessings and miracle healings even to our own small group of pilgrims. Emei Mountain is adorned with many different types of Buddhist temples and Buddhist monasteries, martial arts schools, healing clinics, TCM hospitals, and even a national TCM and Martial Arts University. It also is home to the world's largest Zen Monastery.”

“I’d love to go there!” I thought to myself. Still, for the most part of this year, I did not really believe there was going to be a sequel to the China Crystal Chronicles of 2008.
Why? Well, for starters, Suzanna Axisa my friend and channel for Lanto who had predicted the ‘sequel’ wasn’t planning on coming back to Malaysia this year.
Secondly, it just sounded too much like a story that was taken out of an Indiana Jones movie. “It’s just a fantasy. These things don’t happen in real life.” I heard a part of me say.
Lastly, life had been busy for me. My teaching work was growing, and I just could not see how crystals & stones could fit into the fabric that my life was weaving.

But Spirit had other ideas, and one thing I’ve learnt (albeit slowly) is that Spirit/the Universe always has a larger picture of your life than what your limited personality can see.
And so it was that come June ’09, I came down with what appeared to be a very strange pneumonia-like illness. I was wheezing and coughing with flu-like symptoms and some difficulty in breathing, and all this occurred right after I had taken my children swimming in Sunway Lagoon.
I haven’t had a major illness for a long, long time, so it didn’t take me long to figure that this wasn’t a health issue. Intuition told me there was something else, and so I turned to Ng Wei Suan, a practitioner for Spiritual Response Therapy (“SRT”), for help.
(Spiritual Response Therapy is a way of channeling and working with Spirit to research your personal akashic records (soul records) and to clear adverse soul programs which you have created in your past lives and current life. In my opinion it is by far one of the most powerful and effective methods of clearing and healing.)
“You were running several programs from past-lives where you were drowned,” confirmed Wei Suan, “You should be OK now, we’ve managed to clear the energies from those traumas.”
“I thought so,” I replied, “My little outing to Sunway must have triggered these past-life programs”.
As it turned out, this was only the start of a long queue of programs from my past-lives that were surfacing for clearing.
It was also the start of a great working relationship between me and Wei Suan, who prior to this was just someone that I knew was one of Darreck’s friends. With his help, I managed to clear heaps of stuff. We worked well as a team, and we both realized that he had a very uncanny knack of knowing some of my very ‘complicated’ past lives and exactly what happened to me in those lives.
Finally the inevitable came: “Spirit’s advice is for you to re-learn SRT so you can do your own clearing.” Wei Suan related.
Yes, I had learnt SRT before, way back in 2005, but in the process I had hit many snags and over time I had grown too reliant on Darreck, Kok Wai and Wei Suan to do my clearing. But for their help, I would still be languishing in the Dark Ages, metaphorically speaking.
This time, I knew the Time was right, and so after attending Darreck’s SRT class in late June, I was back to working with Spirit.
A few days after the class, Spirit indicated that I was indeed to return to China. The following information was also given to me:
- The intended destination is Sichuan.
- The main agenda for this journey is a seven day visit to Mt Emei, the ideal dates were indicated as 19 August to 26 August of 2009.
- Apart from the Emei visit, there is also a secondary agenda. There are crystals for me to bring back, all newly discovered crystals, and at least seven types of them.
- There will be a total of seven persons going on this journey.
As it turns out, Suzanna Axisa had been right about everything she told me: about my past-life as a crystal miner, about my past-lives in Guilin, and how there was going to be a sequel this year to the China Crystal Chronicles.

Well, Suzanna was right about everything except one thing. Sadly, Suzanna wasn’t going to be a part of this second journey.
So why Emei? I’ve since been told by Spirit that I’ve had at least two significant past lives in Mt Emei, one 1600 years ago and another about 800 years ago, both as a male.
I’ve also discovered that of the six going with me, five have had past lives with me in Emei. They are Tristan Churn (no surprises here), Jennifer Lim, her mum Poh Choo, her sister Joanna and Joanna’s boyfriend Hui Jing.
They are all from Penang. Tristan and Jennifer are also the founders of Lifeworks in Penang.
The seventh and last person was however, a bit of a surprise, but then again maybe not. This person has no prior incarnations in Emei. However, an aspect of his soul had served as my guardian angel in more than 100 of my past-lifetimes including those two lifetimes I had in Emei.
That person was none other than Wei Suan himself.
I could not stop laughing when I found out, for it explained why he had this uncanny knack of knowing with very precise details what happened in many of my past lives. At first I thought it was pure intuition, but as he was there with me in many lifetimes as my guardian angel, I guess it made it a lot easier for him to channel the relevant information!
See how Spirit strings everything together?
Spirit has also told us that there are indeed some special crystals for us to discover and to bring out to the world. It has indicated at least seven different types that we need to bring out. These seven are meant to be newly discovered crystals and are sitting somewhere in a mine. From what we know, these crystals are not yet available in the west. In fact, they are not even available in any of the crystal shops in China.
We’ve asked Spirit for some figures, and what we’re being told is that these crystals are way, way up in terms of vibration: they appear to be a lot higher than the Lemurian Seed Crystals and even the Brandberg crystals and Elestials!
We also have been given a very ‘rough’ location of the mine but nothing else.
“It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack”, said Wei Suan with a sigh, “I wish I could narrow down the exact location.”
I laughed and told him that even if we could narrow the whereabouts of the mine to within a 5-mile radius, it would still be near impossible to locate the mine without someone taking or pointing us to the actual location.
“We do not need to look for the mine,” I assured him, “The mine will find us somehow and the universe will drop the haystack right onto our laps. That is the way it will happen.”
So this is where we are at this point in time. Apart from the flight tickets, we’ve scheduled seven days for Emei, and another two days to find the crystals. There’s no fixed itinerary, no hotel reservations (apart from the first and last nights in Chengdu), and not much else to go on. There’s really nothing else that we can do except to let the adventure unfold by itself.
And this is where I will have to stop for now. With some divine synchronicities I should have the second installment of this ‘sequel’ for you in a couple of weeks, so do stay tuned to this column!
