Simple Ways to Revitalize Yourself with Nature’s Energy

Energy is infinitely available everywhere you are. When you are feeling drained and out of sorts, there’s always Nature to give you that instant energetic boost. Good news is, it's all free, fun and fast.

Feeling drained, lifeless and fatigued? Connect with these powerful elements that hold a ceaseless flow of energy.

Father Solar for the Sun energy, the Moon energy, the Star energy and the Sky energy
Connect with the elements through intention by mentally saying or saying out loud that you wish to connect to them, and then visualize the energy coming down to you from above into your crown. Then imagine yourself being filled up from your crown to your toes like a bottle being filled up with water. Then see yourself radiate that energy out. Breathe deeply. Say thank you.
A Big Tree
Mentally say or say out loud that you wish you connect to the Frangipani Tree/Mango Tree/Palm Tree/etc. The older and the bigger the tree the better, but choose one you have good feelings about. Some trees would just stand out to you. Don’t pick a dead looking tree, of course. You can make physical contact with the tree if possible. Sit under it with your back against the trunk, hold the trunk, hug the tree, etc. See yourself and tree in a protective Golden White Bubble. Appreciate the presence of the tree by noticing its form, its color, its scent. Then see the tree energy enveloping you with its nurturing energy. (If you have seen Celestine Prophecy you can imagine the same energy connection process) Breathe in the energy. Say thank you.
Waves from the Ocean
Connect with the waves through intention (same as the above). The stronger the waves, the better. Face the ocean with the wind in your face and listen to the sound of the waves. Each time the waves move forward, imagine they are radiating energy to you. Inhale as the waves flow to you and exhale as the waves ebb. See yourself being filled with energy. Say thank you.
Waterfalls
Connect with the waterfall through intention. Focus on the rush of sound of the water falling and hitting the pool, like the continuous whoosh . Imagine yourself underneath the waterfall and as the water falls on you, imagine sparkling light permeating your skin and into your entire being. See yourself being filled with energy. Breathe deeply and say thank you.
Fresh Air
Connect with the air by verbalizing your intention. Notice your breath for 7 counts as you inhale and exhale deeply. Continue breathing deeply. Now zoom in to each breath and see the air molecules as balls of energy sparkling with light. With each inhalation, see these balls of energy releasing the light and energy inside your body. Hold the breath for a few counts, visualizing the balls now vacuuming in your stress and discomfort. As you exhale, see these balls which are holding your discomforts being released back to Mother Earth for recycling. Do this until you can see your entire body being filled with light and you feel really good and energetic. Say thank you.
TO GROUND YOU – for centering yourself and feeling firmly rooted to Earth
Feeling a little light-headed, as if too much nervous energy is running everywhere in you? Ground yourself with these natural elements.
Mother Earth
Connect with Mother Earth by verbalizing your intention. Have both your feet planted firmly on the ground. It’s best to have as much contact with the Earth as possible. If you can, lie down on the ground outdoors (where there’s natural earth), or sit down with your sitting bone pointing down straight. Now imagine a cord extending from your spine and going down to the core of the earth. Breathe slowly and deeply. With each exhalation, see your nervous energy or excess energy going down this cord into the core of the earth. Continue until you feel yourself relaxing. Say thank you.
A Big Tree
Connect with a strong, sturdy tree. Establish some physical contact with the tree (similar to the above). Straighten your spine whether you are sitting or standing, in a proud and strong posture. Feel the tree shadowing you now. Imagine the tree is sending you its grounding energy. See roots of energy coming out from your feet, and spine. They are strong like the roots of the tree and they weave themselves horizontally on the ground, clutching to the earth before extending downwards to search for Earth’s nutrients. See your excess energy, or dizziness flow down via these roots. Breathe slowly and deeply. Relax. Say thank you.
A Stone
Pick up a stone, a pebble or a rock and hold it in your hand. This works with crystals too. Connect to the stone. Truly feel the stone: the texture, the form, the weight, the temperature. Imagine the energy of the stone slowing down the frantic pace of your nervous energy. Breathe slowly and deeply. Relax. Say thank you.
TO COMFORT YOU – for getting you back to a relaxed state when uncomfortable feelings hit you.
Feeling angry, depressed, lonely and any lower vibrating emotions can be extremely uncomfortable. But feelings must be allowed fully to facilitate healing because they give you clues on what’s going on inside you. This technique assists you to focus on your center space, so you can observe your feelings instead of being completely overtaken by them.
Colorful Plants or Flowers, A Big Tree, Etc
Connect with anything you see in Nature that attracts your attention. Appreciate it fully – the color, the texture, the shape, the size, etc. You can reach out and caress the leaves, petals or stalk. Breathe in slowly and deeply while allowing your feelings to ebb and flow in you.
Water Elements (pond, sea, stream)
Connect to the water element. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of water whether it’s a bubbling brook or the crashing of waves. Whatever you are feeling, let it come. When it passes, you can do the grounding techniques or recharging techniques above.
The Sky
If it’s a clear day, connect to the sky. Feel the clear sky in your mind, then bring it down to your heart and then to areas where you feel the uncomfortable emotions. Imagine those areas become as spacious as the skies, and allow your feelings to move like clouds in that space.
TO FEEL LOVED – for reminding ourselves that we are love
We all experience days when we feel lonely, unloved, unsupported, ignored or simply empty and passion-less for life. This is a call for love. As love is what we are made of, and there is an infinite pool of love within us, you needn’t go searching for it outside yourself. All you need is a trigger to bring your loving energy back to your conscious state.
The Sun and Stars
The sun and stars are powerful love triggers. The sun represents warmth and a consistent bright, happy and joyous state. The stars represent our light within, steady, strong and beautiful. Connect to them for triggering love inside you. Picture these elements in your heart center, imagining their light and qualities drawing out the same qualities out from you.
All of Mother Earth
Everything you can see, hear, feel, touch and sense in Nature is love. And every leaf, every grain of sand, every blade of grass is radiating unconditional love.
Connect to an element of nature that you feel attracted to, and imagine its loving energy enveloping you. Breathe in this energy, let it flow to your heart. See this energy spark a light in your heart. See this light in your heart grow bigger and bigger until it fills your entire being. Feel your heart area getting warmer and fully experience the pleasant feelings that arise.
These exercises may open you up to a higher connection with nature. It takes great trust and patience, but when practised many times, it becomes second nature to generate the energy, love and light that you need on your own, through the help of Mother Earth.
