Connecting with Elements

It helps to create a connection with any elements (living inanimate object, living beings, humans, higher beings, etc) before you start a meditation session, a healing process, inner work, or any spiritual exercises. The connection process is really simple as all it takes is a strong intention to do so.
Verbalizing Intention
You can say your intention to connect with elements out loud. Eg. : “I connect to you, Great Tree.” “I connect to you Beloved Kuan Yin”. Don’t worry too much about the words – it’s your intention behind it that creates the connection. If it’s not convenient to say it aloud, you can mentally say it in your mind. Or, you can write it down on paper.
Using the Third Eye
Close your eyes and focus on the area between your eyebrows. See your third eye here. It can be in the shape of an eye, or a bright spot in the middle. Then bring your focus to it (it might feel as if you are crossing your eyes). Imagine light energy appear from your heart and flow to your third eye. See your third eye becoming a very bright spot, as if it’s a penlight. Then shine that penlight towards the element. See the light from your third eye enveloping the element. You can verbalize your intention to connect at this moment.
Using the Heart Chakra
With your eyes opened or closed, imagine a spark of light in the middle of your heart. Let this light grow bigger and bigger. Focus on the element you wish to connect to and find its heart. For example if it’s a tree, it could be somewhere in the middle of its trunk. If it’s a flower, it could be the center that supports all the petals. Again, it’s just about intention, so don’t fret so much if you get the element’s heart area wrong. Then extend the light towards the element’s heart. The extending stream of light can be like a rainbow. You can verbalize your intention to connect at this moment.
Physical Connection
Use your tactile senses to connect with elements. Make contact through your skin. For example you can hug a tree, or caress a petal, or feel the flow of water in a river with your hands, etc. Appreciate the form and feel of these elements. You can verbalize your intention to connect at this moment.
Emotional Connection
Use your emotions to connect. This is not advisable if you are feeling lower vibrating emotions. However if you are able to work up a good feeling, you can use that good feeling. Gratitude is the best connection emotion. Direct that emotion towards your element. Like what you do with heart chakra connection, you can visualize a stream of light rainbow-ing from you to the element. You can verbalize your intention to connect at this moment.
You can combine any of these five exercises together if you want to strengthen the connection. When you are done, close the connection by saying Thank You. You can put your hands together in a prayer position and give a nod as you voice your gratitude.
If for some reason, you don’t feel secured or safe about connecting, don’t. Listen to your feelings.
Or, imagine a golden white light globe around you as you connect. If you like, you can intend out: “Archangel Michael (or any higher beings that you have an affinity to), protect me when I connect. May this connection be for the Highest Purpose and Highest Good of all involved.” Imagine AA Michael’s blue light/Kuan Yin’s protection energy/etc surround your golden white globe.
