Use Of Time

Time is the most precious thing we have. When you have all the wealth in the world, but are running out of time, your wealth cannot buy time for you.

When I sit back and think about the number of hours I used to spend each week in a pub/disco/club, I realised that so much could have been accomplished during that time. For eg, I used to spend Thursday to Saturday evenings from 9pm - 3am just hanging out drinking. That would make it 18 hours a week, not counting the hours spent drinking at home or elsewhere from Sundays to Wednesdays. So that would easily be 30 hours per week.

These days, 30 hours can be used to see 30 clients/answer 60 emails/making 100 phone calls! Putting the hours into this perspective I can see how much time can be wasted especially doing something absolutely meaningless like drinking. Not to mention wasting money!

These days, my schedule is absolutely packed from 5am-8pm Mon-Fri. Though I work hard, I enjoy every minute of it because I know I am now using the precious gift of time productively.
