Intelligence Of The Physical Body

I remember in the last few years of my drinking days, whenever I had a drink, my nose would start running and my hearing becomes a little strange. I felt as though I was in a tunnel and there's a hollow sound and everyone sounded a little far away and I had problems hearing. All of these happened so gradually that I barely noticed at first.

I remember one time I was having a drink in a pub and trying to have a conversation with a person right next to me and I could hardly hear.

Looking back, I realised that it was really my body telling me that it has had enough! My body could no longer process the alcohol effectively and so my nose was constantly running. And my hearing was slowly fading away.

Our physical body holds within it an intelligence for self preservation. If we treat it badly, it does what it has to to survive. I believe that when we ill treat our body with unhealthy food such as processed food, preservatives, unnatural sugar, excessive sugar, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol and so on, our body has a way of telling us that something is wrong. But are we listening?

It took me years to finally listen to it because by then I was constantly falling ill. I don't have any problems with my hearing any more and I am now all ears when it comes to the intelligence of my physical body.
